My last couple of posts have mentioned that my friend Saul Jacobson wrote his first book, “He Made Me Think.” I recommended the book to you prior to reading it myself because I know what a great mentor and business coach Saul is and anything he wants to share with you would be of significant value and worth your time.
I have now had the opportunity to read the book myself. And as I expected, I am very pleased with the teachings he provides in the book. I was not disappointed.

I was so moved by this short video by my friend Saul Jacobson that I had to share it with each of you. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we all had such a wise friend to stand beside us when making difficult decisions like Saul has in his wife Ginger.
This video is just a small sampling of the wisdom Saul has to share with you. He has recently released his first book, “He Made Me Think.”

Never underestimate how powerful a role that music (melody and lyrics) can play in your life and business. I have posted previously how particular songs have made an impact upon me. Here’s a past post entitled Cherish Your Dream
I love reviewing my goals while listening to really cool, upbeat music with words that inspire. Today, I have a new song that I am rockin’ out to “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me,” by American Idol contestant, Danny Gokey.
“As a leader, when you are more concerned about how you look than how your people look, when you are more concerned about your outcome than your people’s outcome, when you are more concerned with how you are presented than how your people are presented, you are in trouble.”

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.” ~ Edith Lovejoy Piercerce
I hope you will give some thought to the above quote. We have a hand in writing our destiny. What do you want your 2010 to say?

Christmas is over.
Do you experience a bit of a let down when it is all said and done? Seems we work for MONTHS preparing for this one day. The process leading up to Christmas Day takes a lot of time, money, and energy. And then poof, it’s all done in one day.
Did you enjoy the process? Did you find fulfillment and rejoice in getting ready for Christmas?
Did you stop long enough to lick the bowl of those goodies you made and laugh out loud when the children got the frosting on their little noses? Did you notice the smiles and small gestures of appreciation from complete strangers as you passed in the rush? Did your heart savor the Christmas music as you happily wrapped the gifts that you knew would bring a squeal from your loved ones when opened?

Perspective is defined as “the state of one’s ideas, the facts known to one.” So you can imagine that different people have different perspectives. Because of one’s background, experiences, and mind conditioning, the facts known to each of us would apparently be different. How does one then determine which perspective is correct?
This Christmas we became members of the Wii Family. My daughter is six years old and we felt she had the ability to play these games now and we would get much enjoyment sharing the time as a family.

“Christmas is forever, not for just one day, for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf. The good you do for others is good you do yourself.”
~Norman Wesley Brooks

As we are finishing out the year, this is a great time to evaluate whether you are achieving your goals.
Are you feeling on track, organized, in control, and moving forward? Or not?
Have you been doing a good job with your mental imaging this year, creating vivid pictures in your mind of what you want to accomplish? But yet you still feel stuck.
The Vacuum Law of Prosperity talks about a space being only able to hold one thing at a time, but that it will always hold something. Are you holding negative or positive thoughts and images?
An essential quality of leadership is developing the ability to persuade others to align their goals with yours and those of the organization. Until you, yourself, are able to join forces with others in the pursuit of a common objective, you will never persuade them to join your cause.

What a powerful and extraordinary life Mr Rohn led. To be able to influence the number of people he did during his lifetime is remarkable. God will be proud of His noble servant. I am sorry I never was able to meet him in person.

The beginning of your success lies in your imagination. Visualize all the things you want in your life.
Make your mental blue print and then begin to build.
You can make your dreams work and produce for you.
Make every thought, every fact, that comes into your mind pay you a dividend.
Your imagination will show you how to turn possibility into reality. The will to succeed springs from the knowledge that you can succeed. Think of things not as they are, but as they might be. Don’t merely dream, create.

This morning I got to thinking about something – how to get people to understand how powerful the mindset stuff really is.
All of my mentors put major emphasis on this part of the business and ODDLY … all of those who recommended this kind of stuff were making huge amounts of money and were living a great life.
Studies show there are two things that don’t motivate people very well — the promise of rewards and the threat of punishment. The trick to motivation is to find the intrinsic reward in your work and to enjoy it.
